#RomeldaGeorge (nee Aiken) is one of the most experienced Goal Shooters in the Suncorp #SuperNetball competition, entering her 15th season with the #QueenslandFirebirds. Romelda continues to get better and better every year, learning new skills to improve her game and keep the defenders guessing!
What is your favourite thing about being a Goal Shooter?
My favourite thing about being a shooter is being able to challenge my ability to fail, knowing the reward is soo much greater.
Nerves can sometimes unsettle goalers rhythm and flow. How do you cope with nerves?
Being nervous is a great thing, it's on the edge of greatness. It's okay to be nervous, as it shows that you care about what you're doing and it's exciting!
You have played professionally for 15 years. Have you always been so talented?
No, it took a lot of hard work and dedication to get to where I am.
What do you think about when you’re shooting?
My favorite thing to think about when shooting is what to eat. I try not to overthink the process.
